2nd Gen Turbo & 3rd Gen Subaru Rear Trailing Arm Bushings. 36mm O.D.
2nd Gen Turbo & 3rd Gen Subaru Rear Trailing Arm Bushings. 36mm O.D.
I've found this 36mm O.D. size of Rear trailing Arm Bushing to fit 84-89 Subaru Turbo models (GL/DL/GL-10/Leone). And so far all 3rd Gen models (GL, DL, RX, XT6, Loyale, L-Series, Omega etc.)
These are a larger size than what is on the BRAT and 71'-89' non-turbo models GL, DL etc.
1 Set needed per car.
Set includes 4 bushings for the 4 rear trailing arm bushing locations.s
The original bushing's outer metal shells need to be removed from the bushings bore to fit these bushings.
((( I offer a DIFFERENT rear trailing arm bushing which is designed to leave the original bushings outer metal shell in place. This means the replacement process is easier. If you are intrested in that option, they are part number D1061-SUB-SU.)))
Made of 80A shore hardness polyurethane rubber. More durable and crack resistant than OEM rubber. Although 80A polyurethane is still flexible, it is slightly more firm than the factory rubber. This will result in sharper/better handling, but it can also cause a slight increase in vibration transfer.
Lubricating grease is supplied with all bushing orders. All contact surfaces of the new bushings and steel sleeves should be thoroughly lubricated before installation for easier installation, smooth/quiet operation and long bushing life.
Due to the several custom options, nearly all items are made to order. Therefore, there could be up to a 10 business day production time on some orders before they ship.

Color Disclaimer. The formulation of polyurethane that I use to make bushings is chosen because of its high physical strength properties. An unfortunate downside of this type of polyurethane is that it can darken or discolor over time. Especially if it is exposed to UV light. This discoloration has no affect on physical properties but it only aesthetic. I highly recomend not leaving the bushings exposed to sunlight before they are installed. Obviously once installed, sunlight exposure isn't much of an issue but darkening may still occur.
